Privacy Policy

Post is designed to process your images and return results without storing your data long-term. This policy explains what data we use, how it’s processed, and how it’s handled.

1. What we collect

We collect only the data required to operate the app:

• Images you upload (for processing)
• Optional text input (e.g. “nudge” descriptions)
• Account identifier (a private, app-specific ID provided by Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In)
• Email address (only if provided via your sign-in provider)
• Purchase information (for credits and transactions)

We do not collect:

• location data
• contacts
• analytics or tracking data
• device identifiers beyond what is required for app functionality

2. How your data is used

Your data is used solely to provide the core functionality of the app:

• Your image and optional text are analysed to understand intent
• A refined version of your image is generated using AI services
• Results are returned to your device

3. How images are handled

We do not store your images long-term.

• Uploaded images are processed and then deleted from our servers
• Generated images are deleted immediately after delivery to your device
• If delivery is interrupted, images may be retained for up to 48 hours, after which they are automatically deleted

We do not build a library of your photos.

4. Third-party processing

We use third-party AI services to process images. Depending on the photo, your image and optional text may be processed by:

• Anthropic (for image analysis and prompt generation)
• fal.ai (for image generation, running ByteDance’s Seedream model on fal’s infrastructure)
• Google (for image generation, and as a fallback for analysis)
• OpenAI (for image analysis, result selection, and as an additional image generation route)
• OpenRouter (a routing service that carries some requests to the providers above)

Your image and optional text are securely transmitted to these services for processing, and to no one else.

We access these services through their commercial APIs, whose terms do not permit your images or text to be used to train their models. Where a provider offers retention controls, we set them to the strictest available: our primary image generation route is configured for zero data retention, and your image travels inside the request itself — it is never uploaded to hosting or a CDN. Beyond these controls, providers process data in accordance with their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

5. Data storage

We store minimal account-related data required to operate the app:

• account identifier (Apple or Google)
• email (if provided)
• credit balance
• transaction history (in anonymised form where applicable)

We do not store:

• original uploaded images
• generated images after delivery
• unnecessary personal data

6. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the app.

When you delete your account:

• your account data is permanently removed
• any remaining personal data is deleted
• generated images are not retained beyond the normal processing window

We may retain a minimal, non-identifiable record associated with your account to prevent abuse of free trials.

7. Data retention

• Images: deleted immediately after delivery or within 48 hours if interrupted
• Account data: retained only while your account is active
• Transaction records: retained in anonymised form for accounting and refund purposes

8. Security

We use secure connections (HTTPS) for all data transmission. Sensitive operations, including authentication and purchases, are handled using Apple’s and Google’s secure systems.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

• access your data
• delete your account
• stop using the app at any time

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at usepost.co/privacy. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
